Implementation Checklist
- Log into your StellaLife account with your email. If you need assistance setting up your professional account please reach out to your product specialist.
- Schedule a live learning training session with your product specialist for StellaLife certification
- Incorporate "dummy code" into your software for accounting and tracking purposes.
- Check insurance codes, especially for submission of D9630 (Code for dispensing products). Utilize HSA and FSA
- Employ the Insurance Irrigation Code for Hygiene. D4921
- Determine the cost to the patient.
- Decide whether to include the cost in the overall fee or as a separate line item.
- Review the Clinician's Guide to select the procedures for using StellaLife.
- Ensure Peppermint, Coconut Rinse, and Gel is accessible chairside for clinicians to allow patients to pre-rinse/swish/oral irrigation
- During the consultation, explain how StellaLife is integrated into the care plan and how to use it according to the 3.3.3. Program.
- Communicate the significance to the patient by emphasizing that StellaLife is not just another rinse, spray, or gel. Highlight its dual purpose of accelerating healing and alleviating discomfort.
- Encourage the patient to begin using the Recovery Kit three days before the scheduled procedure to minimize harmful bacteria and enhance tissue saturation with anti-inflammatory agents. Also, ensure they continue the regimen for 7-10 days post-operation.
- Arrange for the patient to collect the Kit before the surgery or provide it during the consultation, collecting payment at that time.
- Provide the DentaMedica consent form as needed.
Hygiene Implementation Checklist
- Pre-Rinse with StellaLife VEGA Oral Care Rinse (2 minute rinse kills pathogens including Human Corona Virus*)
- Provide sub-gingival irrigation with StellaLife Rinse using an endo syringe during Perio Maintenance and SRPs
- Apply StellaLife VEGA Oral Care Gel to treated areas after oral irrigation during SRPs
- Dispense StellaLife Rinse for daily oral hygiene use (keeps pathogens in check, reduces inflammation, bleeding and can help patients stay in remission from perio disease longer (D9630-CDT code for dispensing products)
- Dispense StellaLife Oral Pre+Probiotic for a healthy oral microbiome
- Utilize StellaLife VEGA Oral Care Recovery Kit for SRP patients with risk factors such as diabetes, smokers, also heavy bleeders, anxious patients, etc. The Recovery Kit will safely disinfect, accelerate healing and reduce bleeding, inflammation and anxiety as well as providing some analgesia (HSA and FSA eligible)
- Use StellaLife VEGA Oral Care Gel chairside to apply to lesions such as aphthous ulcers, angular cheilitis, herpes simplex or if hemostasis is needed. Can also be applied to injection sites after administering anesthetic to reduce post-op discomfort.
