I am Paul Rosen, happy to be here today to speak to you a little bit about this product. StellaLife StellaLife is a product that's homeopathic. And I have been involved with homeopaths for probably about the better part of 70 years now. And I really like this product. I like the whole concept of homeopaths because they are using natural ingredients to help us out with our patients.
And what I like about this product in particular is the fact that it's something that can be used to help in the wound healing following the surgical treatment, but not only that, it transcends it because of the antimicrobial benefits of these products and the anti inflammatory benefits. These are things that can be used long term for the maintenance of our patients. Now one of the things you have to understand is that these agents operate on a different mechanism. Traditionally, we have always looked at our efforts in maintenance care and in disease treatment as being anti plaque in their direction. These agents are also anti inflammatory.
And the merit of that is that if you can maintain the product or if you can maintain an area's reduction in inflammation, you reduce bacterial aggregation. So, these are not working on the same principles that a lot of the other gels and rinses might. The other gels and rinses might be just trying to kill the bacteria. These are trying to preserve positive commensur bacteria while getting rid of some of the negatives. But also by reducing the inflammation in a site, they're reducing the bacterial aggregation that might be detrimental to our patients health, their implants and teeth, whatever it may be.
