Dr. Parul Dua Makkar earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1999 and her DDS from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry in 2003. She has been in private practice since completing her GPR training at Staten Island University Hospital in 2007. Dr. Makkar now owns PDM Family Dental in Long Island, NY. After the loss of her brother to oral cancer, also a dentist, she has been dedicated to educating others about oral cancer prevention and early diagnosis. She has co-authored dental journals, presented lectures to dentists, and has been featured in numerous publications. Dr. Parul Dua Makkar has received various awards for her contributions to healthcare and co-authored the book "Life Interrupted, Dr. Dua's Survival Guide," which has received recognition and awards. |
