Dr. Brattesani received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of California, San Francisco, in 1989. A San Francisco native, she has written dozens of articles for professional journals and websites including Dental Economics, Dentistry Today, SideKick, and Women’s Dental Journal, and she frequently lectures at conferences on technology and at the two San Francisco dental schools.
In 2015 she was voted among the “Top 25 Women in Dentistry” by Dental Products Report and was honored with the UCSF 150th Anniversary Alumni Award. She has received numerous awards, including the American Dental Association’s “Golden Apple” Award for Outstanding New Dentist Leader in 1996, and the U.S. Medal of Merit for outstanding public service for the City of San Francisco 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake. Dr. Brattesani’s passion is innovation and is considered an early adopter of technology by her peers.
As part of her community efforts, Dr. Brattesani was appointed to the Management Committee of CDA Cares. Managing annual dental clinics providing free dentistry to those in need. Dr. Brattesani was recently quoted in a local dental newsletter:
